Description
Artwork:
Starting from a young age girls are told that they must protect and save their "virtue" and that we are made less by sexual activity. This concept was first described to me using the rose as an analogy. This piece illustrates what it feels like to have the choice taken from you.
Artist Statement:
I am a painter and illustrator originally from San Francisco California. Fascinated by nature, I use its themes and textures to express the complexities of the human condition. My work often intertwines the organic and the psychological, using elements from nature to delve into the deeper, sometimes hidden, aspects of the mind. Through this approach, I aim to create pieces that resonate on both a personal and universal level, inviting viewers to reflect on their own inner landscapes.
